In 1979, Hawthorne study results published five major approaches to motivation : Maslow’s nee-heirarchy, Hezberg’s two-factor theory, Vroom’s expectancy theory, Adams equity theory and Skinner’s reinforcement theory. Maslow’s theory talks about the five level of needs – physiological, safety, social, wego, and self – actualizing. Given these five level of needs, one could see that everyone needs to be motivated, be able to achieve and actualize one’s level of need to the other.
